Data Deletion Policy

Last updated: May 2, 2026

1. Your Right to Deletion

Under applicable data protection laws — including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data that we hold.

This right applies to all personal information associated with your Getfollio account, including your profile details, purchase history metadata, and any communications you have sent us.

2. How to Submit a Deletion Request

To request deletion of your data, follow the steps below. For identity verification, your request must be sent from the email address associated with your account.

  1. Send an email to support@getfollio.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
  2. Include your full name and the email address linked to your Getfollio account.
  3. Optionally, specify whether you want your account closed, your data anonymised, or both.
  4. We will confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days.
  5. Deletion will be completed within 30 days of verification.

3. What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon a verified deletion request, the following categories of data will be permanently removed from our systems and those of our sub-processors:

  • check_circleAccount credentials — email address, hashed password, and authentication tokens
  • check_circleProfile information — name, profile photo, and any preferences you saved
  • check_circleCommunication history — emails and support tickets associated with your account
  • check_circleBehavioural data — page visit logs, event tracking, and analytics tied to your identity
  • check_circleMarketing preferences — email subscription status and campaign interactions

4. Data We May Retain

Certain data may be retained after a deletion request where we have a legitimate legal or business obligation to do so. Retained data is anonymised or aggregated wherever possible:

  • infoTransaction records — purchase receipts and invoices required for tax and accounting obligations (retained for up to 7 years per applicable law)
  • infoFraud prevention records — anonymised signals used to prevent abuse of our platform
  • infoLegal correspondence — any communications related to active legal claims or disputes
  • infoAggregate analytics — non-identifiable, statistical usage data that cannot be traced back to you

5. Effect on Purchased Templates

Deleting your account does not revoke your license to use templates you have already purchased and downloaded. Your license rights are retained per the terms agreed at the time of purchase.

However, once your account is deleted, you will lose access to your dashboard, re-download links, and any future updates delivered through the platform.

6. Third-Party Sub-Processors

We use trusted third-party services to operate Getfollio, including Stripe and Razorpay (payment processing, depending on your region) and email delivery providers. Upon receiving your deletion request, we will instruct these processors to delete your personal data in accordance with their own deletion policies.

A full list of our sub-processors is available on request by emailing support@getfollio.com.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Data Deletion Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or our practices. Material changes will be notified via email or a notice on our website. The "Last updated" date above reflects when this policy was last revised.
